When you enter a course the first thing you see is the course dashboard. On the top of the site ist the navigation bar, which is always visible for you when you are in the course. So you can easily navigate between the chapters, your dashboard, the discussion forum, your journal and the announcements relating to your course.
The "dashboard" shows you your overall progress in the course and the recent activities of your colleagues. So your can track the new comments or new journal entries there.
If you want to start with the course, click on the "chapter" tab. In a drop down menu you can pick the unit you want to work in. You can click here to learn how you can navigate through the chapters.
The tab "announcements" shows you the latest announcements from the course instructor and the iversity Team related to the course. You can find short introductions and advices from the course instructor as well as notifications when the new chapters are released.
The "journal" tab directs you to the articles and postings related to the course. In the journal you can see you and your friends answers to the different exercises and units of the course. You can see how your colleagues solved the tasks and you can comment on their postings.
In the "discussion" segment you can ask specific course or non-course related questions to the course community.
